Chances are this won't catch on and I'll never remember to post anything here ever, again, but y'know, maybe not.</div><div>Today I started working on what's going to be a huge part of the next 2 years of my life. I'm returning to college, and starting with an Associates in Church Ministry from Indiana Wesleyan University (Online).</div><div>The first step in all of this was getting to know the BlackBoard website and discussion boards, and to that end we all had to write out a brief autobiography.</div><div>Here's mine:</div><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; ">Hi all,<br />My name is Adam Heffelfinger. I'm a 24-year-old guy living in Cleveland, OH. I'm currently engaged, and will be getting married on August 14th of this year to a beautiful, Godly woman named Melissa.<br /><br />I was raised a Christian by two parents who were (and are) STRONG in the faith. I was a believer from a very young age, and I attended church and tried to "be good." After high school I went away to college and started to become more and more of a skeptic and, with some drama at my family's long-time church as a well-timed excuse, stopped going to church and eventually fell away from the faith altogether.<br /><br />I ultimately dropped out of college and spent about five years wandering aimlessly. I worked a variety of different jobs, moved two hours from home (Toledo) to Cleveland, and spent a long time just treading water.<br /><br />After a particularly low period, I met Melissa. She invited me to church, an amazing step now that I know how new to it all SHE was at the time, and I promptly fell in love with her, and more importantly with GOD all over again. We now co-lead a community group, I've become a good friend of my pastor, and am planning to aid him in any way I can with an exciting church plant he is starting in the area later this year.<br /><br />I'd considered ministry as a Christian teenager, and after five years of avoiding it and failing to find contentment in everything else I've tried, I've come to realize that the Church is where I belong.
